Passive Components for Ukraine Energy Reconstruction: 0 of 28 Walsin Datasheets Name Solar, Battery or Grid, and All 4 That Name Inverters Mean Display Backlights

Passive components for Ukraine energy reconstruction cannot be picked from a Walsin Technology (Walsin) datasheet that names the job, because none does. We searched all 28 datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for 11 energy terms and found 0 files. The 4 that name inverters mean display backlights. Eight sheets name a power supply.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, wrote this for a design engineer or buyer in Ukraine, or serving Ukraine, who builds or repairs power electronics: converters, chargers, controllers for generation or heating equipment. It is built from our own files: the 24,026-row MLCC export (23,601 distinct part numbers), 28 Walsin PDFs and our stock list of 1,125 lines as at 23 September 2026. Every part number is real. Every statement about the assessments names its source, its date and the day we fetched it, 21 October 2026. We take no side and make no claim beyond the documents.

What do the published assessments say about Ukraine’s energy reconstruction needs?

They put the energy sector near the top of a very large total. The fifth Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment, released on 23 February 2026, puts recovery and reconstruction needs at almost 588 billion US dollars over the next decade, with nearly 91 billion US dollars for energy. We read the UN Development Programme release and two Ukrainian government posts in full, and the table paraphrases them.

Point What the source says Source date What it means for a component buyer Match / mismatch
Whole-economy needs Almost 588 billion US dollars over the next decade; data as at 31 December 2025, covering 46 months from February 2022 UNDP release dated 23 February 2026 A public needs estimate for a whole economy, not a purchasing plan and not a component price Mismatch with any demand claim: no component or volume is stated
Energy sector Nearly 91 billion US dollars; damaged or destroyed energy assets up about 21% since the previous assessment UNDP release dated 23 February 2026 Energy is one of several large sectors in the estimate Match for scope: it names power-sector recovery. Mismatch for parts: none named
Government breakdown 90.6 billion US dollars over ten years, 34% above the previous assessment: power generation 71 billion, heating 6.4 billion, gas transmission 5.2 billion, oil 4.6 billion; 4.9 billion for rapid recovery in 2026 Cabinet of Ministers post dated 24 February 2026 The generation share is nearly 80% Match for sector split. Mismatch: the four categories sum to 87.2 billion and the page does not say what the remaining 3.4 billion covers
Damage in 2025 64 billion US dollars of damage in 2025 alone; housing, transport and energy hit hardest; January and February 2026 excluded Cabinet of Ministers post dated 23 February 2026 Context for how fast the need grew Mismatch: it is damage, not demand for parts

Our view, labelled as ours: none of these sources says a Ukrainian plant or equipment maker is short of any part, and we name none. These are sector-wide public estimates, not component prices, and Venatech publishes no prices. Whether a power design needs a given capacitor is for the design owner.

Do Walsin datasheets mention solar, batteries or the grid?

No. We searched the text of all 28 Walsin PDFs we hold, 26 MLCC sheets and 2 chip resistor sheets, 451 pages, for 11 terms: solar, photovoltaic, battery, grid, generator, heat pump, wind, turbine, transformer, boiler and energy storage. Every term returned 0 files. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

The word that does appear is inverter, in 4 files, and we read each hit. All 4 list back-lighting inverters, the drive circuit of a display backlight, among the applications. The same 4 sheets, the middle and high voltage sheet, its surface-coating twin and the two Mega Cap sheets, also list DC-DC converters and snubbers in high frequency power converters. The search reads extracted text, so a word set inside a chart image would not be found.

Which Walsin sheets name power supplies and converters, and can the tool cross them?

Eight sheets name a power supply, and half of them have no rows to cross. The General Purpose, RT, ST, VT, SH, SG, Mega Cap M and Mega Cap V sheets name power supply uses. RT, VT, M and V have 0 export rows; the other four cover 10,001 distinct part numbers, and our shelf holds 520 lines of them.

Walsin sheet What it lists Distinct export parts Stock lines, 23 September 2026 Match / mismatch for a power-electronics board
01_General_Purpose Power supply bypass capacitors 8,330 490 Match on wording; the bulk of the shelf
04_Middle_and_High_Voltage (05 repeats it) Snubbers in high frequency power converters, DC-DC converters 3,871 149 Match on wording. 05 is a termination variant inside the same rows, not a separate series
19_Soft_Term_SH Power supply and related industries 1,488 30 Match on wording; soft termination for boards that flex
20_Soft_Term_SG Power supply and related industries 65 0 Mismatch: on the sheet, nothing on the shelf
12_Soft_Term_Automotive_ST Automotive, power supply and related industries 118 0 Mismatch: nothing on the shelf
09_Microwave_Automotive_RT Automotive, power supply and related industries 0 0 Mismatch: datasheet on file, no export rows
13_Soft_Term_Automotive_VT_VW80808 Automotive, power supply and related industries 0 0 Mismatch: datasheet on file, no export rows
23_Mega_Cap_M and 24_Mega_Cap_V DC to DC converter, rectifier power supply, snubbers 0 0 Mismatch: the series built for converter duty has no rows we can cite

The Mega Cap gap matters most for this topic. Those two sheets are the ones that speak most directly to converter output filtering, and the cross-reference tool cannot offer them (see our post on middle and high voltage MLCC for the series that does have rows), because the parametric export holds no row for either. The rows are on our request list. Until they arrive, the honest position is that we hold the sheets and not the part data.

How does one stocked 1210 bulk capacitor compare across series?

Four other part numbers share its size, dielectric, capacitance and voltage, and none is in an AEC-Q200 series. 1210B105K101 is a general purpose 1210, X7R, 1 µF, plus or minus 10%, 100 volts, 2.00 mm nominal thickness, and it is on our shelf. We compared all 23,601 distinct export part numbers and found 4 others, with 0 in the AEC-Q200 MT or ST series.

Walsin part Series as exported Tolerance, nominal thickness On shelf 23 Sep 2026 Your incumbent Match / mismatch vs 1210B105K101
1210B105K101 General Purpose Plus or minus 10%, 2.00 mm Yes ______ Reference line
1210B105J101 General Purpose Plus or minus 5%, 2.00 mm No ______ Match on size, value and voltage; mismatch: tighter tolerance
1210B105M101 General Purpose Plus or minus 20%, 2.00 mm No ______ Mismatch: looser tolerance
SH32B105K101 Soft termination, Ag-poly Plus or minus 10%, 2.00 mm No ______ Match on all fields we can see; mismatch: termination construction, so a different sheet governs
MG32B105K101 Automotive, no AEC-Q200 Tolerance cell reads -0.1, 2.00 mm No ______ Match on size and thickness; mismatch: the tolerance cell does not read plus or minus 10%

The result is useful in a plain way. If your incumbent is a 1 µF, 100 volt, 1210 X7R, the Walsin answer is one general purpose part we hold, one soft-termination twin we do not, and no AEC-Q200-series part at all.

What do the Walsin sheets say about mains-side use?

Little, and with one caution. The middle and high voltage sheet says X7R parts are not intended for AC line filtering applications, in Walsin’s own words, and the mains-side series is a separate one: the S2 X1/Y2 safety series, 165 distinct part numbers in the export and 2 lines on our shelf.

For safety-rated parts the documents we hold are specific. UL file E182369, TUV certificates R50381780 and R50195920, and CQC certificates CQC20001280137 for S2 and CQC20001280136 for S3 are all in the file set, against EN 60384-14:2023, IEC 60384-14:2023 and UL 60384-14. Walsin lists the standards jointly, so we do not map one standard to one certificate. You can check the UL file number in UL’s public database. For how the S2 range is laid out, read our post on the S2 safety series grid.

What will we not tell you about shipping to or sanctions on Ukraine?

Anything that is a rule. We state no sanctions, export-control, end-use, customs or shipping requirement for Ukraine or any route to it, and we hold no Ukrainian regulatory documents. Eighteen document types appear nowhere in the 451 pages we hold, including REACH, SVHC, PFAS, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, PPAP and IMDS.

Venatech holds neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. We have no office or stock in Ukraine: our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. Your compliance team and your forwarder own every legal and logistics question. What we can do is the part data and the cross-reference.

How can Venatech help a Ukrainian energy-equipment team cross a part?

Four ways, and one honest limit. The free cross-reference tool decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts; you paste an incumbent number and it lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, as the 1210 table above does by hand.

  • VenaMatch cross-reference. Paste up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file. Differences are stated, not hidden.
  • BOM check. Upload a bill of materials at /bom/ and check it against the same cross-reference engine.
  • Ready stock. The Hong Kong list is a snapshot dated 23 September 2026, not live-synced.
  • Service. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for. We are Hong Kong based, work in small lots and will help you cross a part; request a quote through the site. We send any of the 28 datasheets on request.

Worked example from our own export: paste 1210B105K101 and the export lists 4 other part numbers at the same size, value and voltage, with the tolerance and termination differences above. Our MLCC range lists the series, and for converter-duty Mega Cap parts we hold the sheets and no rows. Qualification stays with you.

Which sources back the statements above?

Fetched 21 October 2026. The assessment statements come from these pages, paraphrased; the part data comes from our own Walsin exports, approval sheets and stock list.

The short version

For Ukrainian energy and reconstruction electronics the Walsin documents say nothing about the application. 0 of 28 files name solar, battery or grid, all 4 inverters are display backlights, and half the 8 sheets that name a power supply have no rows to cross. The usable core is 10,001 part numbers and 520 shelf lines in four series.

Send us one bulk capacitor line from a converter or controller BOM and we will return the Walsin candidates with the differences stated. If your qualification file asks for a datasheet sentence about the application, who prints one?

Frequently asked questions

What do the published assessments say about Ukraine’s energy needs?

The fifth Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment, released on 23 February 2026, puts needs at almost 588 billion US dollars over a decade, with nearly 91 billion US dollars for energy. The Cabinet of Ministers cites 90.6 billion and 71 billion for generation. These are sector estimates, not component demand. We fetched them on 21 October 2026.

Do Walsin datasheets mention solar, batteries or the grid?

No. We searched all 28 datasheets we hold, 451 pages, for 11 energy terms including solar, battery, grid and energy storage. Every term returned 0 files. Inverter appears in 4 files, and in all 4 it means a display backlight inverter. Ask for the datasheet for your exact part number.

Which Walsin sheets name power supply use?

Eight: General Purpose, RT, ST, VT, SH, SG, Mega Cap M and Mega Cap V. Four of them, RT, VT, M and V, have 0 rows in the export, so the cross-reference tool cannot offer them. The other four cover 10,001 distinct part numbers, and our shelf holds 520 lines of those.

Do you hold bulk MLCC in Hong Kong stock?

Yes, as at 23 September 2026. Our stock list resolves to 490 general purpose lines and 149 middle and high voltage lines, plus 30 soft termination lines. For example 1210B105K101 is on the list. Stock moves, so ask for the current position and pack quantity of the exact line.

Is there an automotive-series twin for a 1 microfarad 100 volt 1210 X7R?

Not in the export. We compared all 23,601 distinct part numbers on size, dielectric, capacitance and voltage and found 4 others, 2 general purpose tolerance variants, 1 soft termination and 1 MG part, with 0 in the AEC-Q200 MT or ST series. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

Do you state sanctions or shipping rules for Ukraine?

No. We state no sanctions, export-control, end-use, customs or shipping requirement, and we hold no Ukrainian regulatory documents. We supply parts, lot and date-code traceability and, on request, a certificate of conformity per shipment. Confirm every legal point with your compliance team and forwarder.
