Passive components for France’s aerospace suppliers, from Hong Kong, turn on temperature coefficient. Matching our 23 September 2026 stock list to Walsin’s export, 166 of 170 stocked 1 percent resistor lines have a 50 ppm twin on size, value, tolerance and power. None has a 25 ppm twin at 1 percent; that series starts at 0.5.
Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin Technology (Walsin) chip resistor parametric exports: 137 files, 234,815 rows, 234,401 distinct part numbers. This playbook is for a buyer at a French aerospace or defence supplier who wants to know what a Hong Kong source can and cannot put in writing. Every part number below is real and every count is ours. Where it states a development, it names the source, the document date and the day we fetched it (21 October 2026).
What did GIFAS publish that touches a French aerospace component buyer?
Growth, and a warning about the supply chain. The French aerospace industry association GIFAS reported on 11 May 2026 that the sector’s 2025 revenue was 85.6 billion euro, up 11.9 percent, with exports of 59.4 billion euro, defence at 22.3 billion euro and 230,500 people employed. Its own supply-chain statement is that conditions are improving and vulnerabilities remain.
GIFAS also said on 8 January 2026 that the sector returned to full industrial capacity in 2025 and entered 2026 with almost ten years of orders in backlog. Neither page says anything about electronic components, shortages or any named supplier, and we draw no conclusion about which parts any French company buys. We have no relationship with GIFAS or its members.
| Point | What the source says | Source date | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 results | Revenue 85.6 billion euro, exports 59.4 billion euro, defence 22.3 billion euro, space 5.3 billion euro | GIFAS, 11 May 2026 | Mismatch with any component claim: no part or volume is named |
| Employment | 230,500 people, a net gain of 7,000 jobs | GIFAS, 11 May 2026 | Match for context only |
| Capacity and orders | Full industrial capacity in 2025; almost ten years of orders | GIFAS, 8 January 2026 | Mismatch: the page gives no delivery or production count |
| Supply chain | Improving; vulnerable segments remain | GIFAS, 11 May 2026 | Mismatch: electronics are not mentioned |
How many stocked Walsin resistor lines have a lower-TCR twin?
166 of 170 at 1 percent have a 50 ppm twin. We joined all 254 chip resistor lines in our stock list, as at 23 September 2026, to the export after removing the embedded space that 39,576 Walsin resistor part numbers carry: 249 join, 234 are plain general purpose lines rated at 100 ppm, and 170 of those are at plus or minus 1 percent. 166 of the 170 have a High Precision TC50 part with the same size, resistance, tolerance and rated power.
The four that do not are WR06W2R70FTL, WR08W2R70FTL, WR12W2R20FTL and WR25X3301FTL: three low-ohm values on a looser TCR, and a 2512 part, a size the TC50 series does not offer. A 25 ppm twin is rarer. We parsed all 3,087 part numbers of the TC25 series: it is listed at 0.1, 0.25 and 0.5 percent only, at 0603, 0805 and 1206, with 343 resistance values at each size and tolerance. At 1 percent, 0 of our 170 stocked lines has one. If you accept a tighter 0.5 percent tolerance, 70 do: 51 at 0603, 12 at 0805 and 7 at 1206. We have not seen this counted anywhere.
| Stocked line group | Lines | With a twin | Match / mismatch |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 percent, 100 ppm, any size | 170 | 166 at 50 ppm, same tolerance | Match on size, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on TCR and series |
| 1 percent, 100 ppm | 170 | 0 at 25 ppm, same tolerance | Mismatch: TC25 starts at 0.5 percent |
| 1 percent, 100 ppm | 170 | 70 at 25 ppm, 0.5 percent | Match on size, value, power; mismatch on TCR and tolerance |
| 1 percent, 100 ppm, 0402 and 2512 | 54 | 0 at 25 ppm | Mismatch: TC25 is 0603, 0805 and 1206 only |
Which worked part numbers show the twins, and what differs?
Take the stocked 0603 line WR06X1002FTL: 10,000 ohm, plus or minus 1 percent, 100 ppm, 1/10 W. WF06K1002FTL and WK06K1002FTL share its size, value, tolerance and power at a 50 ppm ceiling; WF06J1002DTL goes to 25 ppm but at 0.5 percent. The table adds the 0805 case and the lines with nothing to match. The last column is for your incumbent part.
| Walsin part | Series as exported | Size, value, tolerance, TCR, power | Match / mismatch | Your incumbent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
WR06X1002FTL |
General Purpose | 0603, 10,000 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1/10 W | Reference line, stocked as at 23 September 2026 | |
WF06K1002FTL |
High Precision TC50 | 0603, 10,000 ohm, 1%, 50 ppm, 1/10 W | Match on size, value, tolerance, power; mismatch on TCR and series | |
WK06K1002FTL |
High Precision TC50 | Same fields | Match on the same four; mismatch on TCR and series | |
WF06K1002FTLJ |
High Precision TC50 (Automotive) | Same fields | Match on the same four; mismatch on series grade | |
WF06J1002DTL |
High Precision TC25 | 0603, 10,000 ohm, 0.5%, 25 ppm, 1/10 W | Match on size, value, power; mismatch on TCR and tolerance | |
WR08X1002FTL |
General Purpose | 0805, 10,000 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1/8 W | Reference line, stocked | |
WF08K1002FTL |
High Precision TC50 | 0805, 10,000 ohm, 1%, 50 ppm, 1/8 W | Match on four fields; mismatch on TCR and series | |
WF08J1002DTL |
High Precision TC25 | 0805, 10,000 ohm, 0.5%, 25 ppm, 1/8 W | Match on size, value, power; mismatch on TCR and tolerance | |
WR25X3301FTL |
General Purpose | 2512, 3,300 ohm, 1%, 100 ppm, 1 W | Reference line, stocked; no High Precision twin |
The TCR in the export is a ceiling written with a less-than-or-equal sign, not a measured value for the part. Our post on what resistor TCR actually buys you shows how to turn a ceiling into a drift budget, and the thin film against thick film comparison covers the step beyond 25 ppm.
What do Walsin’s documents say about aerospace?
Nothing. We converted all 28 Walsin datasheets we hold, 451 pages, to text and searched them: aerospace, avionic, satellite, space grade, ESCC, ECSS and NASA each appear in 0 of 28 files. The word military appears once, in the MR automotive resistor sheet, which reads “Automotive AEC Q-200 & Military MIL-STD Compliant”.
MIL-STD is named in 7 of the 28 files as a test method. A test method on a sheet is not an aerospace qualification, and Walsin’s wording for automotive parts is “compliant”, never “certified”. We hold no datasheet for the High Precision series at all: the two resistor sheets are the MR and WR sheets. The WR sheet is ASC_WR_V24, dated September 2016, ten years old.
What will we not tell you about France?
Anything about French or European export, defence or aerospace procurement rules. We hold no office, entity or stock in France; our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We state no duty rate, export-control position, customs procedure, transit time or carrier, and we give no legal or customs advice; confirm with your compliance team. We make no claim that any Walsin part is approved for flight or defence use.
How Venatech helps
We start with the cross-reference. Paste a resistor line into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts and lists Walsin candidates with match and mismatch fields, or upload a list to the BOM checker, up to 500 part numbers. The Hong Kong ready-stock list is a dated snapshot, 23 September 2026, never live-synced. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We work from Hong Kong, in small lots, and you can request a quote through the site. We offer lot and date-code traceability and a certificate of conformity per shipment on request. We hold neither ISO 9001 nor IATF 16949. The tables above came from our own export; the chip resistor range lists the families. Qualification stays with you.
The short version
For a French aerospace resistor line, the tolerance field decides which TCR step is open to you. 166 of 170 stocked 1 percent lines have a 50 ppm twin, none has a 25 ppm twin at 1 percent, and 70 do at 0.5 percent. Of 28 Walsin datasheets, 0 name an aerospace or space standard, and we hold no sheet for the High Precision series.
Send us one resistor line from your bill of materials and we will return the Walsin parts with every difference stated. If your drift budget needs 25 ppm, will it also take 0.5 percent?
