Medical Device Passive Components for Germany from Hong Kong: 691 of 762 Stocked MLCC Lines Sit Under a Datasheet Dated September 2026 and None Has a Change Log

Medical device passive components for Germany need a document-control check before a parametric one. Of the 762 stocked Walsin Technology (Walsin) MLCC lines we could match to the export, 691 sit under a series datasheet dated September 2026. We read all 28 PDFs we hold: 26 say contents may change without prior notice, and 0 carry a revision history.

Venatech Limited, an authorised Walsin distributor in Hong Kong, holds the Walsin MLCC export of 24,026 rows (23,601 distinct part numbers) and a stock list dated 23 September 2026. This post is for a design, quality or sourcing engineer at a German medical device maker who must keep a controlled record of each component. Every part number is real and every count is ours. News and regulatory statements name their source and the day we fetched it, 21 October 2026.

What do German medtech makers face on MDR transition dates?

Two deadlines and a proposal to change them. Under the transitional rules in Regulation (EU) 2023/607, certificates for legacy devices stay valid until 31 December 2027 for class III and implantable class IIb devices and until 31 December 2028 for most other classes, and on 16 December 2025 the Commission published a proposal to simplify the Medical Device Regulation.

The detail, from the sources we fetched. A law firm note dated 23 March 2023 gives the end dates above and the conditions attached, including a quality management system and a notified body application by 26 May 2024. A law firm article dated 24 February 2026 says the proposal is going through the ordinary legislative procedure, with adoption anticipated by the second quarter of 2027, and that it would move to lighter periodic reviews and broaden accepted clinical evidence. On the market, Germany Trade and Invest’s industry overview of September 2025 reports a German medical technology market of over 35 billion euro in 2025, about 1,500 manufacturers with more than 20 employees, 93 percent of them small or medium enterprises, and record exports of 31.8 billion euro in 2024.

We draw one conclusion, and it is ours: a maker with a long transition runway and a moving rulebook will be asked to show that its component record is controlled. We have no relationship with any German device maker or notified body.

How current and how stable are the Walsin datasheets behind a medical design?

Current, and explicitly changeable. The 24 MLCC series sheets we hold are dated January to September 2026 (1 in January, 9 in April, 4 in May, 2 in August, 8 in September); 26 of the 28 files state that contents are subject to change without prior notice, and 0 of 28 contain the words revision, version, change notice, change notification or PCN. We have not seen this counted anywhere.

We counted by opening the first page of every PDF. The older files are the application guide, January 2022, the MR automotive resistor sheet, March 2024, and the WR general purpose resistor sheet, September 2016. The two resistor codes end in V13 and V24; no MLCC sheet carries a version-style code. The full catalogue (65 pages, created 31 August 2026 by the file’s own metadata) carries a no-advance-notice line of its own; we read that as a general line in the catalogue and say nothing about any specific part.

Then the stock overlay. We matched the 864 MLCC rows on our stock list as at 23 September 2026 to the export: 762 distinct part numbers match, and 691 of them, 90.7 percent, are in series whose sheet is dated September 2026 (490 General Purpose, 149 Middle to High Voltage, 30 soft termination SH and 22 High Q Low ESR HH). The other 71 sit under April 2026 sheets, and none under an older one. The remaining 102 stock rows have no export row, which we report rather than guess at. If your technical file cites an earlier issue of a sheet, compare it with the issue we hold; we cannot tell you what changed, because no file says. A Walsin change-notification policy is not in the documents we hold, and it is on our request list.

Which Walsin 10 nF NP0 parts cross a sensor front-end line, and what stays open?

The size and value fields cross; the history does not. Take a 0603, NP0, 10 nF, 50 V, plus or minus 5 percent brief: one General Purpose part matches on all five fields and is on our shelf, and five neighbours differ in size, tolerance or capacitance. NP0 is a class I dielectric, and our post on NP0, X7R and X5R dielectrics explains the trade.

Walsin part Size, capacitance, tolerance Sheet date On shelf 23 Sep 2026 Match / mismatch with the brief Your incumbent
0603N103J500 0603, 10 nF, plus or minus 5% Sep 2026 Yes Match on size, dielectric, capacitance, tolerance, voltage
0603N103F500 0603, 10 nF, plus or minus 1% Sep 2026 No Mismatch: tighter tolerance
0805N103J500 0805, 10 nF, plus or minus 5% Sep 2026 Yes Mismatch: larger body; two export rows, 0.80 and 1.25 mm
0805N103F500 0805, 10 nF, plus or minus 1% Sep 2026 Yes Mismatch: size and tolerance
1812N103J500 1812, 10 nF, plus or minus 5% Sep 2026 Yes Mismatch: much larger body
0603N102J500 0603, 1 nF, plus or minus 5% Sep 2026 Yes Mismatch: capacitance is 1000 pF

All six sit under one sheet, the General Purpose series sheet of 21 pages, so a single issue date governs the whole table. That is convenient for a controlled record and also a single point of change. Confirm against both datasheets and qualify in your own circuit.

What does a Hong Kong shelf hold at 10 nF NP0 for a German device maker?

Six lines out of 133. The Walsin export holds 133 distinct 10 nF NP0 part numbers across all series; our stock list as at 23 September 2026 holds 6 of them: 0603N103J500, 0805N103J500, 0805N103F500, 1210N103J251, 1812N103F500 and 1812N103J500. Only one is 0603.

Stock moves; the ready stock list is a dated snapshot, never live-synced. Our post on Walsin passive components in Hong Kong stock covers the shelf, and the MLCC range lists the families. We hold lot and date-code traceability, a certificate of conformity per shipment on request and original sealed Walsin packaging.

What will we not tell you about medical device compliance?

Anything about classification, approval or biocompatibility. We make no claim that any Walsin part is suitable for a medical device, we hold no ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 certificate, and none of the 28 datasheets we hold mentions ISO 13485, an implant or biocompatibility. We hold no office, entity or stock in Germany.

Our locations are Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore and Jiangmen, with Chengdu in preparation. We give no legal, customs or conformity advice; confirm with your compliance team. Qualification stays with you.

How Venatech helps

Paste your incumbent into the free cross-reference tool, which decodes 18 manufacturers’ part numbers across 800,000+ crossable parts, and read the Walsin candidates with each field marked match or mismatch. Load a whole BOM, up to 500 part numbers or an Excel or CSV file, to run every line. The ready-stock list is a Hong Kong snapshot dated 23 September 2026.

Worked example from our own export: the 10 nF NP0 filter above returned 142 rows and 133 distinct part numbers, and our shelf covers 6 of them. Walsin is the only line we are authorised for; Stackpole and Viking are lines we supply. We serve from Hong Kong in small lots, and a quote is requested through the site. The 28 datasheets, 451 pages, we hold are sent on request.

The short version

For a German medical device maker, the datasheet is a moving document: 691 of 762 stocked MLCC lines sit under a sheet dated September 2026, 26 of 28 files say contents may change without notice, and none holds a revision history. The electrical cross is the easy half, and the change record is the half you have to build yourself.

Send us one front-end line from your BOM and we will return the Walsin parts with the differences stated and the sheet date named. If a datasheet can change without notice and carries no log, what is your trigger to re-read it?
